BBQ Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place the pork shoulder in a smoker or on a grill set up for indirect cooking. Cook at a low temperature of around 225°F (107°C) for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls apart easily.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 4

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then shred the meat using two forks.

  5. 5

    Combine and Serve

Mix the shredded pork with the BBQ sauce and serve on seeded buns with slaw.
