Method

Preparing Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Cut the Chicken

Slice the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Prepare Breading Stations

Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika; one with beaten eggs; and one with bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumbs. Press the crumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Preparing Fries

  1. 6

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips (fries).

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a separate large skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  4. 9

    Fry the Fries

Carefully add the fries in batches to the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
