Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the medium onion thinly. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-low heat. Add the sliced onion, sprinkle with a little salt, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the cherrywood smoked bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Burger Patty

Season the 8 oz prime Angus beef patty with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-fry on medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Melt the Blue Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the beef patty, place 2 oz of blue cheese on top of the patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Toast the Brioche Bun

Butter the brioche bun and toast it on the skillet until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun, layer the romaine lettuce, then the cooked burger patty with melted blue cheese, followed by the caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the brioche bun.
