Pasta

Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4-6 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Do not rinse.

Preparing Vegetables

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Making Garlic Sauce

  1. 5

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 6

    Season Sauce

Sprinkle black pepper over the mixture, stirring well to combine all ingredients.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 7

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the vegetables and garlic sauce. Toss gently to combine and heat through for about 2 minutes.

  2. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
