Method
Preparation
- 1
Juicing the Lemons
Roll the lemons on the countertop to soften them. Cut each lemon in half and use a citrus juicer or reamer to extract the juice into a measuring cup. Remove any seeds.
- 2
Mixing the Ingredients
In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 1 cup), granulated sugar, and 1 cup of cold water. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 3
Diluting the Lemonade
Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine. Taste the lemonade and add more sugar if you prefer it sweeter.
- 4
Chilling and Serving
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves, if desired.
