Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the seasoned beef into a patty that is about 1 inch thick and slightly wider than the roll.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it's shimmering.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the patty in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness, or until desired doneness is reached.

Adding Toppings

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels.

  2. 6

    Add Blue Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the burger, sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top of the patty and cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Roll

Slice the burger roll in half and lightly toast it on the skillet if desired.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the roll, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted blue cheese, crispy bacon, tomato slice, and onion slices.

  3. 9

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the roll, press gently, and serve immediately.
