Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs using a knife. This will help the ribs become more tender.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Generously rub the dry rub mixture over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Slow Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.

  2. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well and let simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are cooked, carefully remove them from the slow cooker. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs and grill for about 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sauce caramelizes.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut into portions and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
