Meatloaf Preparation

    Preheat Oven

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Mix Ingredients

    In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.

    Form Meatloaf

    Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.

    Bake

    Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

    Cool Down

    Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Bourbon BBQ Sauce Preparation

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

    In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, bourbon, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

    Simmer Sauce

    Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Sandwich Assembly

    Prepare Rolls

    Slice the sandwich rolls in half and lightly toast them if desired.

    Assemble Sandwiches

    Place a slice of the meatloaf on the bottom half of each roll. Top with bourbon BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings. Place the top half of the roll over the fillings.
