Chicken Wings

Method

Prepare the Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Clean and Season

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, season the wings with salt and black pepper, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Make the Bar-B-Q Sauce

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.

  2. 3

    Cook Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and flavors meld. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Wings

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil and placing a wire rack on top.

  2. 5

    Arrange Wings

Place the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack. This allows for even cooking and crispiness.

  3. 6

    Bake the Wings

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 7

    Coat with Sauce

Remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the prepared Bar-B-Q sauce on all sides.

  5. 8

    Final Bake

Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.

Serve

  1. 9

    Garnish and Enjoy

Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with extra Bar-B-Q sauce on the side for dipping and enjoy!
