For the Ribs

Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 4

    Wrap and Bake

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  2. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

  3. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

After the ribs have cooked, remove them from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  4. 7

    Broil the Ribs

Place the glazed ribs under the broiler for 5-10 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning, until the sauce is caramelized.

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
