Preparing the Fries

Cutting the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into evenly sized sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.

Drying the Potatoes
After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they fry properly.

Frying the Potatoes
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Add the dried potato sticks in batches and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels, then rub both sides with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Preparing Garlic Butter
While the steak is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
