Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the Moot Burger immediately with your favorite sides.
