Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of the pasta water.

Preparing the Sauce

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 4

    Add Tomatoes

Add halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.

  3. 5

    Add Spinach

Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss well to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.

  2. 7

    Season

Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  3. 8

    Finish with Cheese

Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
