1

Prepare honey syrup

If you don't have honey syrup ready, make it first: combine equal parts honey and hot water (1:1 by volume), stir until fully combined and cool to room temperature. Measure 0.25 oz for the cocktail.

2

Chill glass

Place a coupe or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer, or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 1 oz Yellow Chartreuse, 1 oz blended Scotch (or mild bourbon), 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz honey syrup, and 2 dashes orange bitters.

4

Add ice and shake

Add ice to the shaker (enough to nearly fill it). Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted.

5

Strain

Empty the chilling ice or water from your glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

6

Garnish and serve

Express the oils of a lemon twist over the drink by holding the twist skin-side down above the glass and giving it a firm squeeze, then run the twist around the rim and drop it into the drink as garnish. Serve immediately.
