Preparation of Dip
- 1
Combine Creamy Base
In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
- 2
Add Smoked Salmon
Gently fold in the smoked salmon, breaking it into smaller pieces as you add it to the mixture.
- 3
Mix in Flavorings
Add the finely chopped red onion, capers, dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Chilling and Serving
- 4
Chill the Dip
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 5
Prepare Lettuce and Crackers
While the dip is chilling, wash and dry the fresh lettuce leaves. Arrange them on a serving platter along with the crackers.
- 6
Serve
Once the dip is chilled, stir it gently before transferring it to a serving bowl. Serve the smoked salmon dip chilled over the lettuce leaves with the crackers on the side.
