Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Crab Cake Directions

1

Prepare the Crab Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped green onions, egg, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

2

Mix Thoroughly

Using your hands or a spatula, gently mix all the ingredients together until evenly combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

3

Form the Crab Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties about 2-3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. You should be able to make about 8 crab cakes.

4

Chill the Crab Cakes

Place the formed crab cakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape during cooking.

5

Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the crab cakes to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.

6

Fry Until Golden Brown

Cook the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Make sure they are cooked through.

7

Serve

Transfer the cooked crab cakes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
