In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, eggs, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.

Form Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, chopped basil leaves, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Assembling and Baking

Once the meatballs are baked and the marinara sauce is ready, gently add the meatballs to the sauce, ensuring they are well coated.

Transfer the meatballs and sauce to a baking dish. Dollop ricotta cheese on top and sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over the meatballs.
