Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Directions for Crab Cake Sliders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Cakes

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

  3. 3

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Baja Slaw

In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure the vegetables are coated in the dressing.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sliders

Slice the slider buns in half and place a cooked crab cake on the bottom half. Top with a generous amount of baja slaw and a few slices of avocado. Place the top half of the bun on top.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the crab cake sliders with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the sliders.
