Meatballs

Method

Meatballs Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Parmesan cheese.

  3. 3

    Mix Thoroughly

Use your hands or a spatula to mix all ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 4

    Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. 5

    Bake Meatballs

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned.

BBQ Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and hot sauce (if using).

  2. 7

    Heat Sauce

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it begins to simmer.

  3. 8

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the sauce and adjust with hot sauce or chipotle powder as desired for extra heat.

  4. 9

    Simmer Sauce

Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 10

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the meatballs are done baking, remove them from the oven and add them to the saucepan with the BBQ sauce. Stir to coat the meatballs.

  2. 11

    Serve

Serve the BBQ balls warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired, and with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
