Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Patty Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the ground steak, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Shape the mixture into a patty approximately 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Make Lex Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.

Cook Burger Patty

  1. 4

    Grill the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Brioche

While the patty is cooking, toast the brioche bun until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread a generous amount of Lex sauce on the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun. Add the lettuce, the cooked burger patty, Swiss cheese, dill pickle slices, and onion slice. Top with the other half of the brioche bun.
