Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash the Apples

Thoroughly wash the Bramley apples under cold running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.

  2. 2

    Core and Cut the Apples

Remove the cores of the apples and cut them into quarters. You do not need to peel them.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Equipment

Set up your juicer or blender, ensuring it is clean and ready to use.

Juicing Process

  1. 4

    Juice the Apples

Place the apple quarters into the juicer or blender. If using a blender, you may need to add some water to help with blending.

  2. 5

    Strain the Juice

Once juiced, pour the apple mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large pot to separate the juice from the pulp.

  3. 6

    Add Water and Sugar

Add the 500 ml of water and 100 g of sugar to the strained juice. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  4. 7

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to enhance the flavor and preserve the juice.

Storage

  1. 8

    Bottle the Juice

Pour the finished Bramley apple juice into clean bottles or jars for storage. Make sure to leave some space at the top.

  2. 9

    Refrigerate

Seal the bottles or jars tightly and refrigerate. The juice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
