Ciabatta and Garlic Herb Butter

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Roast the Garlic

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Roast for 30-35 minutes until soft and golden.

  2. 2

    Make the Herb Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, roasted garlic (squeezed from the skins), chopped parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ciabatta

Slice the ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic herb butter generously over both halves.

  4. 4

    Warm the Ciabatta

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the buttered ciabatta on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the butter is melted.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven, cut into pieces, and serve warm.
