Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 tsp salt. Mix until well combined and press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- 2
Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined.
- 3
Combine and Bake
Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- 4
Cool and Chill
Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 5
Serve
Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and slice. Serve plain or with your favorite toppings.
