Juicing Instructions
1. Preparing the Apples
Wash the apples thoroughly under running water. Remove the stems and cut them into quarters, leaving the skin and seeds intact.
2. Cooking the Apples
In a large pot, combine the quartered apples and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the apples are soft and mushy.
3. Extracting the Juice
Once the apples are cooked, remove them from heat. Using a fine sieve or cheesecloth, strain the mixture into a large bowl or pitcher to separate the juice from the pulp. Use a spoon to press down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
4. Flavoring the Juice
Add sugar and lemon juice to the freshly strained juice. Stir well to combine. If desired, add cinnamon to taste.
5. Serving
Chill the juice in the refrigerator before serving. Serve cold over ice, if desired.
