Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coffee

Brew 240 ml of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Make the Mascarpone Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 100 g of sugar until the mixture becomes thick and pale. Stir in 500 g of mascarpone cheese and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Soak the Ladyfingers

Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the cooled espresso coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

  3. 5

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone mixture, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chilling and Serving

  1. 6

    Chill the Tiramisu

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 7

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with 30 g of cocoa powder using a fine sieve. Cut into squares and enjoy your classic Italian dessert!
