Prepare the Cheese Curds

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Batter the Cheese Curds
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the cheese curds until they are evenly coated.
Fry the Cheese Curds

Fry the Curds
Using a spoon or small scoop, carefully drop the battered cheese curds into the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Cook Until Golden Brown
Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese curds are golden brown and float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the Marinara Sauce

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Add the canned crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve

Place the fried cheese curds on a serving plate and serve hot with the marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
