Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, then season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into quarters.

  2. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the potatoes in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add salt. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Drain the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the pot.

  4. 9

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter and heavy cream to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Slice the rested ribeye steak and serve it alongside the creamy mashed potatoes.
