Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Start by choosing a lowball or rocks glass for serving. Ensure the glass is clean and chilled.

  2. 2

    Add Ice

Place 3 ice cubes in the glass. This will help chill the drink and slightly dilute it as you enjoy.

  3. 3

    Pour Bourbon

Measure 2 ounces of George Dickel 8-Year Bourbon and pour it over the ice in the glass.

  4. 4

    Add Demerara Syrup

Add 1 teaspoon of demerara syrup to the glass. This will provide a rich sweetness to balance the bourbon.

  5. 5

    Add Bitters

Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the mixture. This will add depth and complexity to the flavor.

  6. 6

    Stir the Mixture

Gently stir the drink with a bar spoon or a regular spoon for about 10-15 seconds to combine the ingredients well.

  7. 7

    Garnish

Take a slice of orange peel and twist it over the drink to release its oils. Optionally, you can drop the peel into the drink as a garnish.

  8. 8

    Serve

Your House Old Fashioned is now ready to be enjoyed. Sip slowly and savor the flavors.
