Method

Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Branzino

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Clean the branzino under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Make three diagonal cuts on each side of the fish to allow for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Generously season the cavity and the outside of the branzino with salt and black pepper. Stuff the cavity with lemon slices and a handful of fresh parsley.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Bake the Fish

Place the branzino on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Meunière Sauce

While the fish is baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the capers and fresh lemon juice, stirring everything together.

  3. 5

    Serve the Dish

Once the fish is done, remove it from the oven. Carefully transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle the meunière sauce over the fish and garnish with additional parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.
