Method

Meatloaf Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Meatloaf Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh ground Angus beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and milk. Mix together until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Shape the Meatloaf

Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet. Ensure it is evenly shaped and compact.

  3. 3

    Bake the Meatloaf

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the meatloaf in the oven and bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Herb Brown Gravy Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually add the beef broth while whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer and cook until the gravy thickens, approximately 5-7 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Herbs

Stir in the chopped fresh herbs, salt, and black pepper. Allow to simmer for an additional 2 minutes before removing from heat.

Whipped Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Boil Potatoes

In a large pot, add the peeled and cubed Russet potatoes. Cover with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Mash Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Broccolini Preparation

  1. 8

    Sauté Broccolini

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the trimmed broccolini and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the broccolini is tender but still crisp.

  2. 9

    Season

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
