Cauliflower Puree

Roasted Peppers and Apples

Crispy Potatoes

Method

Steak Marinade

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix tamarind paste, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Add the hanger steak, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Chimichurri Sauce

  1. 2

    Prepare the Chimichurri Sauce

In a bowl, combine chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and salt. Stir well and set aside to let the flavors meld.

Cauliflower Puree

  1. 3

    Make the Cauliflower Puree

Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Transfer to a blender, add butter, salt, and black pepper, and blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Roasted Peppers and Apples

  1. 4

    Roast Peppers and Apples

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the sliced bell peppers and apples with olive oil and salt. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.

Crispy Potatoes

  1. 5

    Prepare the Crispy Potatoes

In a bowl, toss the halved baby potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 6

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
