Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Brussels Sprouts

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow outer leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Prepare Pork Belly

Cut the pork belly into small cubes or strips, about 1-inch in size.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Marinate the Pork Belly

In a bowl, combine the pork belly pieces with soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat evenly and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 4

    Fry the Pork Belly

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork belly and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 5

    Cook the Brussels Sprouts

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed. Add the halved Brussels sprouts cut-side down. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are golden brown on the cut side.

  4. 6

    Combine and Finish Cooking

Stir the cooked pork belly back into the skillet with the Brussels sprouts and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Transfer the fried Brussels sprouts and pork belly to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
