Preparation and Baking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, combine sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Pie Crust

Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Trim the edges as necessary.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Pie

Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pie

Cover the pie with a second crust or create a lattice top. Cut slits in the top for steam to escape. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the crust is golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve the Pie

Allow the pie to cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve warm, drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with whipped cream. Optionally, sprinkle with additional cinnamon dust.
