Tart and Topping
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Graham Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
- 2
Make the Chocolate Filling
In a saucepan over low heat, combine milk chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before pouring it into the cooled graham crust.
- 3
Chill the Tart
Refrigerate the chocolate tart for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- 4
Prepare the Whipped Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Set aside.
- 5
Make the Candied Pecan Crumble
In a skillet, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar is melted and the pecans are toasted, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 6
Assemble and Serve
Once the tart is set, top it with the whipped cream and sprinkle the candied pecan crumble on top. Slice and serve chilled.
