Marinating the Steak
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Steak
Place the ribeye steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

- 4
Season the Steak
Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard the marinade. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt.
- 5
Cook the Steak
Place the steaks on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- 6
Rest the Steak
Once cooked, remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Preparing the Sides
- 7
Roast the Asparagus and Tomatoes
While the steaks are resting, toss the trimmed asparagus and halved cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 8
Roast in Oven
Place the baking sheet in the oven at 400°F (200°C) and roast for about 15 minutes or until the asparagus is tender and the tomatoes are slightly blistered.
