In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until it is thoroughly chilled.
Flavoring the Ice Cream

Proceed to the next step with the chilled base as is.

Add the cocoa powder to the chilled mixture and whisk until fully combined.

Churning and Freezing
