Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking.
- 2
Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, 1.5 cups of granulated sugar, and 0.5 cups of brown sugar. Whisk until well combined. Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 0.75 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter.
- 7
Prepare Baking Pan
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 8
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 9
Cool and Cut
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15-20 minutes before cutting them into squares.
