Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted unsalted butter.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

In the same skillet, cook the sausage links according to package instructions, usually about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through. Remove and let cool slightly.

Slice the cake into silver dollar-sized pieces. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, and a side of fresh berries. Add your choice of bacon or sausage on the side.
