Hamburger Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, then form into 2 equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until your desired level of doneness is reached. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place the cooked patty, followed by lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve hot with kettle chips or home fries on the side.
