Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Directions for Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine chicken thighs with harissa paste, salt, and black pepper. Ensure the chicken is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Make Creamed Goat Cheese

In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese and heavy cream. Whip together until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated chicken thighs. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Waffles

If using store-bought Belgian waffles, toast them according to package instructions. If making from scratch, prepare waffle batter and cook in a preheated waffle iron until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Spread a generous layer of creamed goat cheese on one half of each waffle. Place a piece of fried chicken on top, add a spoonful of chow chow relish, and drizzle with Aleppo hot honey. Top with the other half of the waffle to form a sandwich.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwiches warm with extra chow chow relish and hot honey on the side.
