Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Begin by cleaning the fresh blue crabs under cold water. Remove the top shell and gills, and then rinse again. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Boil the Potatoes and Corn

In a large pot, add 8 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the potatoes and cook for about 15 minutes until they are fork-tender. Add the corn on the cob and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add the Crabs

Once the potatoes and corn are cooked, carefully add the cleaned crabs to the pot. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning over the crabs and stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Butter Sauce

In a separate pan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Squeeze the juice of 1 whole lemon into the butter and stir to combine.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

After adding the crabs, allow everything to cook for an additional 10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pot and transfer the potatoes, corn, and crabs to a serving platter.

  6. 6

    Serve

Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the crabs and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
