1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

Prepare Baking Dish

Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with unsalted butter, ensuring to cover the bottom and sides.

3

Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk, mixing until well combined.

4

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

5

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

6

Pour Batter into Baking Dish

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

7

Bake

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

8

Cool and Serve

Remove the baked Virginia from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Optionally, serve with fresh berries on top.
