Grilled Tomatoes and Mushrooms

Method

Preparing the Chips

  1. 1

    Peel and Cut Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick strips to form chips.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  3. 3

    Fry the Chips

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 4

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes prior to cooking to bring them to room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 5

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Add crushed garlic and rosemary on top.

  3. 6

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or a skillet over high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

Grilling Tomatoes and Mushrooms

  1. 7

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomatoes in half and clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth.

  2. 8

    Season the Vegetables

Drizzle olive oil over the tomatoes and mushrooms, then season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 9

    Grill the Vegetables

Place the vegetables on the grill for 3-4 minutes until they are soft and have grill marks. Remove from the grill.
