Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to bake your Prairie Organic dish.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the organic whole wheat flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until evenly mixed.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the organic whole milk, maple syrup, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combining and Baking

  1. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently fold together until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the texture light.

  2. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, fold in the organic berries and chopped nuts for added flavor and texture.

  3. 6

    Pour into Baking Dish

Grease a baking dish with a little oil or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly.

  4. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Serving

  1. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm as a hearty breakfast or snack.
