Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill Your Glass

Begin by chilling a rocks glass or an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare your cocktail.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing glass, combine 1 oz of mezcal, 1 oz of Campari, and 1 oz of sweet vermouth.

  3. 3

    Stir

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture gently for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Glass

Empty the ice water from your chilled glass. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glass over fresh ice.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the cocktail and drop it in as a garnish.
