Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Begin by chilling a cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing glass, add 2 ounces of J. Carver Rye Whisky, 1 ounce of Lustau Sweet Vermouth, and 3 dashes of the trio of bitters.

  3. 3

    Stir

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.

  4. 4

    Strain

Discard the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass and use a strainer to pour the mixture into the glass.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Finally, garnish your Manhattan with a single Bordeaux cherry placed in the center of the drink.
