Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix the Sugar and Eggs

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir in the large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

  6. 6

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  7. 7

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. 8

    Cool the Brownies

Remove from oven and allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Brownies

Once the brownies are cooled and cut into squares, place a brownie on a plate and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  2. 10

    Enjoy!

Serve immediately and enjoy the warm chocolate brownie with the cold vanilla ice cream.
