Preparation Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a round 8-inch cake pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring gently until combined. Add the vanilla extract and sea salt, mixing well.
- 5
Bake the Torte
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the torte to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Dust with cocoa powder before slicing and serving.
