Pork and Marinade
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Pork
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Cook the Pork
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and pour the apple cider vinegar around the pork. Cover with foil and roast for about 6 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.
Shred the Pork
Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes. Use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Discard any excess fat.
Mix with BBQ Sauce
In a large bowl, combine the shredded pork with BBQ sauce, mixing thoroughly to ensure the pork is well coated. Serve warm.
