Cooking the Brisket

Prepare the Brisket

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the brisket.

Cook the Brisket

Place the brisket in a roasting pan and pour the beef broth around it. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.

Shred the Brisket

Remove the brisket from the oven, let it rest for 15 minutes, then shred the meat using two forks. Mix in the BBQ sauce until well combined.

Prepare the Sandwiches

Slice the sandwich buns in half and toast them lightly if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, pile a generous amount of the pulled brisket, add coleslaw and pickles, then top with the other half of the bun.
